Process Steps
Step 1
This is an initial free 30-minute consultation where we discuss your idea and go over the process and potential costs. This can be over the phone, virtual meeting or on-site. We identify a target budget and discuss your idea and wood and finish.
Initial Consultation
Step 2
If we agree to move ahead, we move to the design step where we do some initial sketching and modeling. This design step requires a deposit to cover the design effort. The result of this step is a detailed dimensioned design, finish details, wood selection and a proposed cost and timeline for a build. We will sign a simple contract if you decide to move ahead.
Collaborative Design Step
Step 3
A few weeks before the building begins, we will collect a 50% deposit and order materials. You can opt into process photos as the building gets underway.

Delivery & Final Payment
We provide free delivery within a 50-mile radius of Pittsboro, NC. Full payment is due at the time of delivery. Delivery outside of that radius can be provided for an extra fee. You can always pick up your final piece yourself for free!

We usually work in local hardwoods such as Ash, Birch, Cherry, Maple, Poplar, Walnut, and White Oak.

We build dining room tables, end tables, coffee tables, nightstands, desks, beds, and more. We also do smaller projects such as custom signs, coasters, cutting boards. At this time we do not build chairs.

Handmade objects are an investment, and working wood is notoriously time-consuming to build a piece that is beautiful and timeless. If you have a budget in mind, that will help us to set the scope of your project. Please expect to pay more than you would for any mass manufactured item because this is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece of furniture made from quality hardwood.
